Cosmos and Cronos Concept Art

A tiny bit of my journey with designing these two characters. Initially I had made a bunch of drawings for Cronos, since he was the subject for my character design project. The main idea was for them to be twins; however, I wanted to try my hand at giving Cosmos a whole new identity, instead of just some change in color palette that at the end would sacrifice the theme of celetial beings. So, looking back at the sillouhettes I thought a bulkier and more square shaped option could work just fine for Cosmos, and I gotta say, it did! Soon Cosmos grew a lot on me. Felt like this even gave me some ideas for their potential movements or figting styles.

Most basic ideas, definitely wanted them to have a human form and have them covered by very structured clothing, also I didn't think of them as separate characters when doing this. Which helped a lot by giving Cosmos more identity.

These are early sudies of Cronos, back then the clothing was a bit different, you were able to see his legs. In the end I decided not to go with this in favor of a more sophisticated look. Still, I consider it important to establish that he DOES have legs
